The valves from the KALBⓇ series fulfill the essential pressure control tasks for incompressible media: upstream pressure, differential pressure and downstream pressure. Designed as space-saving wafer valves, the control valves do not require any auxiliary power and therefore have no electrically or pneumatically actuated valve parts.
Patented in 1968, the valves have stood for reliable control in the power generation and process industries and are constantly being adapted to meet the latest standards and requirements, with great emphasis placed on maintaining backward compatibility. Great importance is also attached to maintaining backwards compatibility.
Several material variants cover a wide range of specifications and requirements, all of which have in common excellent corrosion and wear properties of the main components, whether through the choice of the appropriate material or its surface treatment.
The very compact design creates many degrees of freedom in system planning and at the same time allows the control tasks to be performed in a resource-saving manner with a minimum of material input.
KALB® pressure reducing valves type R & S
The KALBⓇ valves of types R & S are upstream pressure regulating valves, optionally in standard design (type R) or with test screw (type S).
- The upstream pressure of the incompressible medium is controlled with proportional control behavior
- The downstream side of the control valve is assumed to be pressureless
- Control takes place without electrical or pneumatic auxiliary elements
- Movement test of the valve during operation (for type S)
KALB® pressure reducing valves type DM
- Downstream pressure of the incompressible medium is controlled with proportional control behaviour
- The impulse line is necessary for the detection of the pressureless reference for the setpoint setting
- Control takes place without electrical or pneumatic auxiliary elements
KALB® differential pressure control valves type D
- The differential pressure of the incompressible medium is controlled by the valve, which has a proportional control behaviour
- Control takes place without electrical or pneumatic auxiliary elements
